Successful Client Stories

One of Fabia's clients was a female working adult who was facing multiple challenges in life from relationship issues, work stress and ongoing difficulties with her parents that led her to feel depressive. Fabia used a combination of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Expressive therapy (Using Art) to help her client process through the overwhelmingly painful emotions she was experiencing, as well as to address her negative thought patterns. After 25 sessions, her client found new adaptive ways of coping and developed a more balanced way of thinking, leading to a better concept of self & others. Her client was able to draw healthier boundaries in her life and make decisions that were in-line with her personal values. These positive shifts have helped client improved experience emotional stability and confidence in managing stress in life.

Another client that Fabia has helped was a mother who was emotionally overwhelmed by her role as the primary caregiver for her child who had been struggling with mental health concerns. She also felt helpless at trying to manage a strained relationship with her eldest child. Fabia supported this client using a Family Systems perspective, providing psycho-education on mental health and wellness, as well as equipping her client with practical parenting skills. After 8 sessions of counselling, her client has seen improvements in her personal well-being and is able to experience an improved quality of relationships with her family.
